Changes in detail

Results that change when a saved project is solved again:

  • Double helical gear pairs without an entered helix deviation take the ISO 1328-1 tolerance fHβ of one helix's face width (b/2), as ISO/TR 6336-30, 4.2.9 says, instead of the whole face width. The default fHβ falls where b/2 lies in a lower width range of the tables (for example b 100 mm at grade 5: 8.5/9.5 → 7.5/8.5 µm), and with it the manufacturing misalignment fma, the initial misalignment Fβx and KHβ by method C. Single helical and spur pairs, and pairs with helixDeviation entered, are unchanged.
  • Bolted joints with engagement: the required length of thread engagement takes the thread that the strength ratio RS (VDI 2230-1 Eq.
    1. makes critical, the internal thread (Eq. 209) below RS = 1 and the bolt thread (Eq. 213) from 1 on, instead of the longer of the two. The required length falls where the other thread's form was longer: just below RS = 1, or above it with a low entered internalShearStrength τBM. Other joints are unchanged. For example M27×2 8.8 in RmM 620 MPa with τBM 527 MPa 18.39 → 17.92 mm, in RmM 700 MPa with τBM 420 MPa 21.66 → 19.79 mm.
  • Bearing summaries gain iso281: ISO 281's factors X, Y and e and its equivalent load P = X·Fr + Y·Fa for the bearing type and contact angle at the operating loads (Tables 3, 5 and 8), for comparison with the reference load Pref the lives come from. No life or check changes.
