What’s new
Each release, newest first. The notes list what changes for projects you already have: results that move when a saved project is solved again, and what the app and the command line do differently.

Axomek 0.2.6
Axomek 0.2.6 is about the whole project: seeing the machine in one piece, finding and comparing your designs, and handing them on as a finished report.

Released
Feature statistics and usability replays now keep where they came from, at city level: the functions derive the country and city from the request's network address with an offline database (DB-IP's City Lite, CC BY 4.0) and store only that (location: { countryCode, country, city }), never the address. The console's replay list shows each replay's place with its flag and filters by country (adminListRecordings country: a code, or unknown; a new index); analytics has a world map of sessions, installs or events per country, a table of them and the top cities, and filters by a clicked country (adminAnalytics country; countries, unknown and cities in its answer). Batches and replays sent before have no location. The deploys fetch the database first (backend/scripts/fetch-geo-db.mjs); the privacy policy says so. A deploy whose download fails goes on without locations, with a warning.

Axomek 0.2.4
Released
The optimiser's powerLoss metric (axm optimize --require "powerLoss<=…", --minimize powerLoss, the app's optimise dialog) is the total that axm solve reports in powerLoss.total: gear mesh and belt or chain drive losses now count as well as bearing friction. A search that limited the power loss of a project with gears or drives could accept designs that lose more; it no longer does.

Axomek 0.2.3
Released
No calculation results change. The optimiser could, in rare cases, report another design's results when its variables were listed out of order; it now matches designs by parameter.

Shafts with two steps (or a step and an end) closer together than a twentieth of an element (L/3000 by default: 0.133 mm on a 400 mm shaft, 1 mm on a 3 m one) keep the short section between them in the mesh. Before, such steps shared one node half way and the section (a neck, a groove) vanished with its stress and its give; a load inside it could join longer ones. Supports, loads and springs still move onto a step, an end or a support that close, by that distance at most (moves no longer add up), and an element that short takes its shear flexibility even with shearDeformation off (Euler–Bernoulli's 12·E·I/l³ would swamp the solve). For example a 0.1 mm Ø10 neck 100 mm into a 400 mm Ø50 shaft under 5 kN at midspan: largest von Mises stress 40.7 → 2549 MPa (the neck's 32·M/(π·d³)); a 1 mm Ø46 groove at 1400 mm on a 3 m Ø50 shaft under 5 kN at midspan: 305.6 → 366.5 MPa. Other shafts, and the templates, are unchanged.

Axomek 0.1.14
Released
Double helical gear pairs without an entered helix deviation take the ISO 1328-1 tolerance fHβ of one helix's face width (b/2), as ISO/TR 6336-30, 4.2.9 says, instead of the whole face width. The default fHβ falls where b/2 lies in a lower width range of the tables (for example b 100 mm at grade 5: 8.5/9.5 → 7.5/8.5 µm), and with it the manufacturing misalignment fma, the initial misalignment Fβx and KHβ by method C. Single helical and spur pairs, and pairs with helixDeviation entered, are unchanged.

Axomek 0.1.13
Released
Bolted joints with eccentric and a working moment take the opening limits at both edges of the interface (VDI 2230-1 Eq. 104, 105, 107 at U and at V): a negative workingMoment, or a positive one in case II of Table 4, opens the far edge V. Such joints need a larger clamp load FKA (before, it came out as zero), so FMmin, FMmax and the preload check rise, and FAab falls. openingMoment is now MBab in the sense of MB,max (it was always the positive limit, or infinite) and reverseOpeningMoment gives the other bound.

Axomek 0.1.12
Released
Bearing fits take steel rings (and a steel shaft or housing chosen from the app's material list) at E = 210 000 MPa instead of 208 000 MPa, as through- hardened bearing steel is usually given and the reference solver took it: fit pressures rise by about 1 % and the clearance lost to the fits changes slightly. The ratings keep the 207 000 MPa of ISO 76 and ISO 281.

Axomek 0.1.11
Released
Linear guides: the reported pitch of an off-centre pressing load (Fz at x ≠ 0) has the opposite sign (positive now presses the +x carriages); the carriage loads of such a load are unchanged.
